Flight info

You will fly into the Los Cabos International airport. The airport code is SJD.

Given changes in the airline industry and personal preferences, we encourage you to book your flights directly with the airline. If you want to discuss your flights more or would like us to send you specific flight suggestions, please let me know.

Your reservation includes airport transfers but we cannot book your transfers without your flight details.

Make sure to book your flights for the same days as your hotel reservation. If you plan to extend your stay at a different resort, please let me know so I can book your transfers accordingly.

Here are some tips:

  • Direct flights ensure more seamless and less stressful travel so consider booking a direct flight even if it is a little more expensive.
  • If you do have to book a flight with a layover, please pay close attention to the layover times. Airlines are notorious for allowing short layovers with a very high likelihood of missing the connection. While no one wants to sit around the airport for hours, you also don’t want the headache of missing your layover because of a short connection. I suggest choosing a schedule that has at least 1.5 hours on the way to your destination. On your way home, I suggest at least 2 hours to give extra time to get through immigration.
  • Pick an arriving flight as early in the day as you prefer so that you have more time at your destination.
  • For your returning flight, the ground transportation company will often pick you up three to four hours before your flight time so pick as late a departing flight as your schedule allows
  • Some airlines provide tickets that can be changed or canceled without a fee. This costs more upfront but can be helpful later.

Airport Transfers

Round trip transportation from the airport is included in the package. Once you have cleared customs and collected your bags, please proceed outside to the transfer area.

Your transfers will be shared with anyone in the wedding group who is booked on the same flights as you.

Travel Insurance and cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations before September 1, 2024: The deposit is non-refundable
  • Cancellations from September 1-November 15, 2024: 50% penalty for cancellations unless you have travel insurance. Travel Insurance will cover 75-100% of the cancellation penalty.
  • Cancellations after November 15: 100% penalty for cancellations unless you have travel insurance. Travel Insurance will cover 75-100% of the cancellation penalty
  • No-show: 100% penalty regardless of travel insurance

Travel insurance will protect you from these cancellation fees if you need to cancel after your reservation is already in penalty.

Please note! Once the final payment due date has passed, penalties also apply to a reduction in nights, room category, or the number of people in your room.

Because most medical insurance policies do not offer coverage outside the United States, we do not recommend traveling without insurance. Our trip insurance covers trip delay, trip cancellation, some medical coverage, lost luggage, and more.

How does the Cancellation coverage work?

  • Trip Cancellation: Up to 100% coverage if canceled for a covered reason
  • Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR)*: 75% of the non-refundable insured trip cost if canceled for a reason that is not covered.
  • Trip Interuption for Any reason (IFAR)*: 75% of the non-refundable insured trip cost if canceled for a reason that is not covered.
  • The cancellation must be made over 2 days before departure in order to be covered.
  • Price: $150 per adult. $100 per child.
  • The cost of travel insurance is not refundable.

*ATTENTION residents of New York. The CFAR/IFAR policies do not apply to residents of New York. The regular cancellation coverage would apply.

The insurance also includes in-travel coverage for emergency situations. Click here for more information.

If you’re attending a destination wedding, chances are you’re booking many months in advance. While we’re sure you have every intention of making the trip, life can be unpredictable. The months between the deposit and your anticipated date of travel could bring a job change, illness, or other circumstances that could prevent you from traveling. Purchasing travel insurance is a smart investment that will protect you from financial loss.

I know that you may not be able to think of a reason that you would cancel your trip right now. It may be tempting to not include the cancellation insurance. Keep in mind that the cancellation policy above will not be waived for ANY reason unless you have this cancellation travel insurance. This includes if you get COVID or the flu right before the trip and cannot travel.

Still think you don't need insurance? Here are 14 reasons why you do!  These are all real reasons that weddings guests have had to cancel after the penalty period started.

Fun Things To Do In Mexico

We offer a lot of great excursions in this destination! We recommend that you pre-book your excursions. By booking your excursions in advance you won’t have to worry about exchange rates, getting closed out of something that you really want to do, or getting stuck in a timeshare presentation when you thought you were going zip lining! Most of our excursions include transportation.

  • Private Yacht cruise to snorkel, swim, visit the arches, and relax!
  • Whale Watching season runs from December to April.
  • ATV tour
  • Ziplining
  • And more!

FAQ's

Q. I would like to RVSP with a friend who was also invited to the wedding. How should we complete the RSVP form?

A. Great question! Once you have decided on your dates, room category, and insurance option*, please complete the RSVP form. You only need to complete the RSVP form once for everyone on the RSVP form, so decide who will complete the form. The person who completes the form should make sure to include the e-mail address of anyone else on the RSVP form so that those people continue to receive updates about the reservation. It is important that we have the correct e-mail address for everyone, so it may be a good idea to double-check that you know your friends' preferred e-mail before completing the form.

*note that everyone in the same room must have the same insurance option.

Q. Where can I find Solomon & Elisa's personal wedding website?

A. Click here

Q. Can I bring my children?

A. While the resort is family-friendly, the wedding itself is an adults-only event.
