Tuesday, August 15: Suggested arrival date. 

Wednesday, August 16:  Enjoy the resort.

Thursday, August 17:  The big day! Ceremony at 5:00 with a cocktail hour and reception to follow. Bring your dancing shoes!

Friday, August 18: Enjoy the resort.

Saturday, August 19: Suggested departure date

Even if you’re not 100% sure that you can make the trip, and you just want to get more info, please fill out the R.S.V. P. form. This will give us all the information we need to give you an accurate rate.

1. Complete the RSVP form. You will be able to compare rooms and rates from within the RSVP form.

2. Submit your deposit. Once you’ve completed the RSVP form you will automatically be directed to the page to submit your deposit.  Please remember that pricing and availability are not guaranteed until a deposit has been made. If you wish to make occasional or monthly payments, please use the same link.

Room deposit: $150.00 per person. If there are two people in your room, then your total deposit will be $300.

Occupancy limits: Children aged 13-17 are counted towards the total Adult count. Only children 12 and under are counted as children in the occupancy and prices. NOte that Secrets is adtuls-only

“Oceanview” vs. “Oceanfront”: An Oceanfront room category is going to have a straight-on view of the ocean. An “Oceanview” room will have a view of the ocean but it is very unlikely that it will be a straight-on view of the ocean.

Dreams Junior Suite Pool View: All suites are available with either one king-size bed or two queen beds and include a St. Thomas Marble counter top, ample closet, steam iron and more. To ensure your family’s comfort, a living area with a sofa bed connects to the beautifully furnished private terrace, which includes a hot tub overlooking the resort’s gorgeous gardens. Rotating mirrors provide privacy to the bathroom area which offers a rain shower, double vanities, water closet, a scale, an additional phone, hair dryer, vanity mirror, full length mirror, bathrobes and slippers.

• Bedding: One king-size bed or two double beds.
• Maximum occupancy: 4 (max 3 adults)

Secrets Junior Suite Garden View: Adults-only. This suite features a king size bed or two full size beds, in-room climate control, separate sitting area and furnished balcony with lush garden views. On the other bed side, romance blinds provide privacy to the spacious bathroom area that offers a hydro tub, a rain shower, a vanity mirror, a scale, an additional phone, bathrobes and slippers.

• Bedding: One king-size bed or two double beds.
• Maximum occupancy: 3

Secrets Junior Suite Swim Up: In addition to the above amenities, the Junior Suite Swim Out features views of the lush tropical gardens or
sparkling pools, plus spacious furnished terraces with direct swim-out access to a semi-private pool. Located on the ground floor of each building.

• Bedding: One king-size bed or two double beds.
• Maximum occupancy: 3

Secrets Preferred Club Junior Suite Ocean View: In addition to the above inclusions and Preferred amenities, the Preferred Club Junior Suite Ocean View features a king size bed, in-room climate control, separate sitting area and furnished balcony with ocean views. On the other bed side romance blinds provide privacy to the spacious bathroom area that offers a hydro tub, a rain shower, double vanities, a scale, an additional phone, and bathrobes and slippers.

• Bedding: One king-size bed

• No singles

Double Occupancy Rates 

Rates are per person, based on two people sharing a room. Rates include hotel and airport transfers. Airfare and travel insurance are additional.

Dreams Junior Suite (Family-friendly): 

• $360 per adults per night
• Children under 2 are free
• Children 2-12: $90 per night
• Teens count as adults in price & occupancy limits

Secrets Junior Suite Garden View (adults-only): $270 per person per night

Secrets Junior Suite Swim Up (adults-only): $288 per person per night

Secrets Preferred Club Junior Suite Ocean View (adults-only): $344 per person per night

Single Occupancy Rates

Rates are based on only one person being in a room by themselves.  Rates include hotel and airport transfers. Airfare and travel insurance are additional.

PLEASE NOTE:  If you initially book a room by yourself, it will be at this single-occupancy rate.  If at any point before final payment you add someone to your room, your rate will automatically change to the double-occupancy rate above.

Dreams Junior Suite Pool View (family-friendly): $576 per night

Secrets Junior Suite Garden View: $432 per night

Secrets Junior Suite Swim Up: $$460.80 per night

You will fly into the Cancun airport. The airport code is CUN. 

Given changes in the airline industry and the global pandemic, we encourage you to book your flights directly with the airline. If you want to discuss your flights more or would like us to send you specific flight suggestions, please let me know.

Your reservation includes airport transfers but we cannot book your transfers without your flight details.

Make sure to book your flights for the same days as your hotel reservation. If you plan to extend your stay at a different resort, please let me know so I can book your transfers accordingly.

Here are some tips:

• Direct flights ensure more seamless and less stressful travel so consider booking a direct flight even if it is a little more expensive.
• If you do have to book a flight with a layover, please pay close attention to the layover times. Airlines are notorious for allowing short layovers with a very high likelihood of missing the connection. While no one wants to sit around the airport for hours, you also don’t want the headache of missing your layover because of a short connection. I suggest choosing a schedule that has at least 1.5 hours on the way to your destination. On your way home, I suggest at least 2 hours to give extra time to get through immigration.
• Pick an arriving flight as early in the day as you prefer so that you have more time at your destination.
• For your returning flight, the ground transportation company will often pick you up three to four hours before your flight time so pick as late a departing flight as your schedule allows
• Some airlines provide tickets that can be changed or canceled without a fee. This costs more upfront but can be helpful in these uncertain times.

Round trip transportation from the airport is included in the package. Once you have cleared customs and collected your bags, please proceed outside to the transfer area. 

Once you have exited the terminal look for the Lomas Rep. They will be wearing a blue shirt, white pants, and holding a sign for Lomas.

Please note: Car seats are required just as they are at home. They are $30.00 round trip. Please let us know when you make your reservation if you need a car seat.

CANCELLATION POLICY

• Cancellations before May 1, 2023: The deposit is non-refundable
• Cancellations from May 1-May 26, 2023: 50% penalty for cancellations unless you have travel insurance
• Cancellations after May 26, 2023: 100% penalty for cancellations unless you have travel insurance
• No-show: 100% penalty regardless of travel insurance

Travel insurance will protect you from these cancellation fees if you need to cancel after your reservation is already in penalty.

Please note! Once the final payment due date has passed, penalties also apply to a reduction in nights, room category, or the number of people in your room.

I know that you may not be able to think of a reason that you would cancel your trip right now. It may be tempting to not include the cancellation insurance. Keep in mind that the cancellation policy above will not be waived for ANY reason unless you have this cancellation travel insurance. This includes if you get COVID or the flu right before the trip and cannot travel. 

STILL THINK YOU DON'T NEED INSURANCE? HERE ARE 14 REASONS WHY YOU DO!  THESE ARE ALL REAL REASONS THAT WEDDING GUESTS HAVE HAD TO CANCEL AFTER THE PENALTY PERIOD STARTED. 

If you’re attending a destination wedding, chances are you’re booking several months in advance. While we’re sure you have every intention of making the trip, life can be unpredictable. The months before your travel date could bring a job change, illness, or other circumstances that could prevent you from traveling. Purchasing travel insurance is a smart investment that will protect you from financial loss.  

And because most medical insurance policies do not offer coverage outside the United States, we do not recommend traveling without insurance. Our trip insurance covers trip delay, trip cancellation, some medical coverage, lost luggage, and more. 

How does the Cancellation coverage work? 

• The travel insurance would cover you with a “cancel for any reason” policy that would give you a refund for any non-refundable portions of your land reservation as long as you cancel at least 2 hours before departure. It does not include coverage for airfare.
• Price: $150 per adult. $100 per child.
• The cost of travel insurance is not refundable.

Please note that these are the policies that are in place as of May 2, 2022. These rules could change between now and your departure date. Any updates will be posted here. 

Q. Is a COVID test required to enter Mexico?

A. At this time, there is no test required. You do not have to take a COVID test or complete a health form to enter Mexico. 

Q. Am I required to take a test to return to the United States? 

A. Effective January June 12, 2022, there is no longer a requirement to test before returning to the United States. 

Q. What happens if there is a travel ban?

A. In the event of a travel ban, we would move the date of the wedding. We will make every effort to ensure that everyone in the group is able to keep the same room and number of nights at the current group rate. 

Q. Does the travel insurance cover us if we decide to cancel due to fear of COVID?

A. Our travel insurance is a ” cancel for any reason” policy. Covered reasons are covered at 100%. Uncovered reasons are covered at 75%. Canceling due to fear of COVID is no different than canceling for fear of spiders, and falls under the provision of the uncovered reasons. There is a link to the policy in the insurance section of the wedding site. Please review the policy for covered and uncovered reasons.

Q. If there is a travel ban, aren’t the hotels and airlines required to give us a full refund?

No, they are not required to offer a refund for anything that falls under force majeure such as government shutdowns, war, pandemics, or acts of God. We strongly encourage you to purchase trip insurance to protect yourself from a financial loss.

We offer a lot of great excursions in this destination! We recommend that you pre-book your excursions. By booking your excursions in advance you won’t have to worry about exchange rates, getting closed out of something that you really want to do, or getting stuck in a timeshare presentation when you thought you were going zip lining! Most of our excursions include transportation.

Keep in mind that certain tours may include a transfer of 1 or more hours each way. The tours that I have listed here are the closest to the resort. 

• Snorkeling at Puerto Morelos 
• Visit cenotes on the Ruta de Los Cenotes. This is my favorite thing to do in the area! I know the perfect tour for this 🙂 
• Private yacht cruise to visit Isla Mujeres and snorkel

Q. Do we have to stay at the resort? 

A. Yes. The resort has rules about guests of the wedding staying at the resort. We cannot guarantee that you will be able to attend the wedding if you do not stay at the resort.
